ML tree of the TLR2 subfamily based on vertebrate central amino acid sequences. The tree is rooted with Danio rerio and sequences are listed in Additional file 4. The bootstrap values of 1,000 pseudo-replicates are shown as percentages at nodes. Bootstrap values are only shown for nodes with greater than 50% support. The clades of avian TLR2A/B, mammalian TLR2 are in red, orange and blue, respectively. The branches of avian TLR2A and mammalian TLR2 are in a lilac background.
